In this edition of the Shining Beyond Developer Blog, we’d like to address the following three items:
1. Event Tokens expiring once Event Shops close
2. Skill Damage to take into account buffed ATK
3. Megathera’s Rage Rune: Adjustment needed?
Some of you may have noticed in the past that your unused Event Token count is preserved in-game even after an Event has ended.
This led some players to believe that we intended for players to be able to save their Event Tokens and use them in a future event (one that uses the same Event Token) instead.
We would like to clarify that Event Tokens can only be used for the Event they were issued in.
For instance, although the current event featuring Zhuge Liang uses Dawn Tokens, which is an event currency we have previously issued in the past, players may not use their remaining Dawn Tokens from the previous event to redeem for items in the new Event Shop.
As such, we have reset everyone’s Dawn Tokens count at the start of the event to zero. Moving forward, all Event Tokens will expire and be reset to zero after the corresponding Event Shops have been closed.
Ever since Season 2 has been released, we’ve received a lot of feedback from players with regards to heroes that mainly rely on Skill Damage to be effective.
Currently, a hero’s Skill Damage is calculated as a percentage of his or her base ATK stat — and ignores all buffs made to the ATK stat.
In an effort to make Skill Damage heroes stronger, we will be changing the calculation to now be a percentage of a hero’s ATK stat after buffs have been applied.
While we currently do not have a concrete date on when this change will be rolled out, once it’s implemented please do give it a try and let us know what you think.
For a while now we’ve received feedback from players about the use of Megathera’s Rage Rune in Arena. That it provides too much of an advantage for players who’ve equipped the rune on multiple heroes in their team.
As the Megathera’s Rage Rune is an item that many players have worked hard to earn by participating in World Raid every weekend and saving up World Raid tokens for it, we felt that adjusting the rune’s properties right away would be a little too unfair for them.
Simultaneously, we’ve also received feedback from other players that the stun effect provided by the rune is a great help for Player vs. Environment (PvE) modes like Tower and Adventure.
Thus, for now we will not be making any changes to the Megathera’s Rage Rune.
However, we will continue to keep a close eye on the situation, and may decide to make some adjustments to it in the future.
If you’d like to provide us with more feedback on the Megathera’s Rage Rune to consider, please feel free to leave your feedback in the #suggestion-discussion channel on our official Shining Beyond Discord server.
That’s all for this edition of the Shining Beyond Developer Blog entry.
Next time, we’ll take a look at the slew of new features coming your way in our next major update to the game on July 15.
Until then, may your travels be safe and bounties be plentiful in Feldria.
